Stationery Etiquette: Informal Notes

The informal note is usually smaller and more informal than the monogrammed note. The front of the card reads your entire name and title: "Miss Kathryn Fay Lee" or "Mrs. Joshua Clay Scruggs." The informal note is used for the following occasions: a. INFORMAL thank you notes, b. extending informal invitations, c. writing short messages, d. gift enclosures, and e. RSVP to informal invitations. NOTE: the informal note is not suggested for use when writing wedding thank you notes. A modern trend for the informal note is printing just a first and last name on the card: "Sheri Scruggs" instead of your full name. Shop stationery here: www.sweetbayprints.com.
