Happy Earth Day!

It may sound a little strange that Sweet Bay Prints is earthy friendly since we go through paper like no other! We are fully aware of the need to be green, so we thought this was a great day to share with all of our fans and customers what we do to make our business greener! First of all, we print with a Xerox Phaser printer that uses solid ink technology. Solid ink printers use compact solid ink sticks with no cartridges. This solid ink technology is environmental friendly because there is no cartridge to throw away and there is no harmful solvents involved. The print quality is amazing and completely safe! The ink sticks are smaller too so there is less packaging involved. On another note, we make every effort to recycle scrap paper and catalogs when finished. We use a lot of paper when generating product and proofs, but we don't let things go to waste! We use scrap paper for lists and notes, even when it is tempting to use our cute notepads! A third way we desire to be green is providing lines that use recycled paper. We are in the process of finding a vendor that produces fine stationery goods on recycled paper. Next, we re-use all of our boxes to ship our orders. We receive many boxes of new product on a daily bases, and we hate to toss the boxes out! We break the boxes down, store them, and re-use to ship our completed orders. We are always thinking of ways to be green and earth-friendly, so your suggestions are welcomed!
